There are great rewards in a home-made garden, and the simple act of sinking hands into soil is proven to benefit our wellbeing.
A garden can nourish our hearts and our bellies, exercise our minds and our muscles, and tell the story of those who live within it.
This weekend gathering is a conversation and workshop about home made garden making - gardens grown with heart and hand to engage all senses. The best gardens have roots that sink far deeper than appearances alone - we consider what it is that makes a beautiful and enriching garden, and how you can embark on your own garden making path through the pleasures of slow and shared gardening.
We’ll dig deeper too into design, considering how to create a garden with good “bones” that sits gently in the landscape, and ways to bring life, character and story to the garden through planting and creativity. There’ll be plenty of practical tips and information to set you on your way.Be prepared to have lots of tea, coffee and cake, a delicious lunch from the MRR kitchen garden and a glass or two of champagne!
Accommodation is available in our guesthouses, but is limited so if you want to plan a friends weekend, or simply some time out yourself, get in quick.
